LOS ANGELES – President Donald Trump has threatened to revoke the citizenship of comedian Rosie O’Donnell.

“Because of the fact that Rosie O’Donnell is not in the best interests of our Great Country, I am giving serious consideration to taking away her Citizenship. She is a Threat to Humanity, and should remain in the wonderful Country of Ireland, if they want her. GOD BLESS AMERICA!” Trump wrote in a Truth Social post on Saturday morning.

One of Trump’s longtime critics, O’Donnell moved to Ireland when he won a second term as president.

The Trump administration has recently been prioritizing efforts to strip some Americans of their US citizenship.

According to a June 11 memo published online, the Department of Justice directed its attorneys to prioritize denaturalization in cases involving naturalized citizens who commit certain crimes.

Responding to Trump’s Saturday post, O’Donnell wrote in an Instagram post that the president plans to “deport all who stand against” his “evil tendencies.”

“the president of the usa has always hated the fact that i see him for who he is – a criminal con man sexual abusing liar out to harm our nation to serve himself – this is why i moved to ireland,” O’Donnell wrote.

She described Trump as “a dangerous old soulless man with dementia who lacks empathy compassion and basic humanity.”

“(You’re) a bad joke who can’t form a coherent sentence,” she added.

Trump has also recently suggested he could denaturalize one of his political foes, New York Assemblyman Zohran Mamdani, who recently won the New York City Democratic mayoral primary, according to media reports.

Born in Uganda, Mamdani came to the US as a child and has been a naturalized citizen since 2018.

“A lot of people are saying he’s here illegally,” Trump said. “We’re going to look at everything.”

Meanwhile, Congresswoman Maxine Waters, while criticizing the president’s immigration policies, has suggested that Trump should consider deporting his wife, Melania Trump – a naturalized citizen who was born in Slovenia.

“When (Trump)  talks about birthright, and he’s going to undo the fact that the Constitution allows those who are born here, even if the parents are undocumented, they have a right to stay in America. If he wants to start looking so closely to find those who were born here and their parents were undocumented, maybe he ought to first look at Melania,” Waters said at a rally in Los Angeles.
