Coldplay concert scandal: Astronomer investigating CEO Andy Byron

The Board of Directors of the software company Astronomer has started a formal investigation after its CEO, who is married, and head of HR were caught embracing at a Coldplay concert in Foxborough, Massachusetts.

“Astronomer is committed to the values and culture that have guided us since our founding. Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability,” the company said in a statement posted on LinkedIn and X.

“The Board of Directors has initiated a formal investigation into this matter and we will have additional details to share very shortly.

During a Coldplay concert at Gillette Stadium Wednesday night, a “kiss cam” showed Astronomer CEO Andy Byron with his arms wrapped around the waist of Chief People Officer Kristin Cabot.

Footage of the video showing the couple awkwardly hiding from the camera – with Cabot covering her face with her hands and Byron crouching down – swiftly went viral on social media.

Byron and Cabot have not released a statement as of press time.

“Andy Byron has not put out any statement, reports saying otherwise are all incorrect,” Astronomer wrote.

As the “kiss cam” caught the pair in a panic, Chris Martin quipped, “Oh what either they’re having an affair or they’re very shy” prompting laughter from the crowd.

More than 15 million people read about the scandal and “the average readership on the topic is on par with the Diddy trial, Musk-Trump feud and Pope Francis’ death,” according to Axios.
