The global phenomenon “KPop Demon Hunters” is making a surprise encore on the big screen and fans can belt out their favorite tracks right along with the film.

Netflix’s record-shattering animated feature will return to select theaters across the United States for a special sing-along event on the weekend of Aug. 23.

The animated musical adventure, which first premiered on June 20 has become Netflix’s biggest animated film ever and possibly its most successful title across all genres.

Even after its initial theatrical run alongside its Netflix debut in late June, the hype never cooled. In fact, nearly two months later, the movie has reclaimed the top spot as Netflix’s No. 1 film, surpassing even the much-anticipated “Happy Gilmore 2.”

Streaming metrics reveal that since its launch, “KPop Demon Hunters” has garnered 158.8 million views. This achievement places it fourth among all-time English-language films on Netflix, behind heavyweights like “Red Notice” with 230.9 million views, “Carry-On” at 172.1 million and “Don’t Look Up” with 171.4 million.

Fueled by a gripping storyline and an infectious soundtrack performed by its in-film boy and girl idol groups SAJA Boys and HUNTR/X, the movie has translated its on-screen music into real-world chart-topping hits.

The upcoming sing-along screenings promise an immersive experience for fans who want to celebrate both the visuals and the music together.

Tickets for the event went on sale Aug. 13 at 6 a.m. PT via a dedicated ticket-finding website. The special engagement will feature screenings in major cinema chains including Alamo Drafthouse, Cinemark, Marcus Theatres and Regal Cinemas.

Showtimes vary by location, with some theaters hosting up to four screenings between Aug. 23 and 24.

Major cities like Los Angeles and New York will see multiple participating venues, from Regal LA Live & 4DX to Alamo Drafthouse Downtown Brooklyn.

Whether fans prefer the booming sound of IMAX or the high-energy effects of 4DX, the experience promises to be as dynamic as the movie itself.
