The “Honmoon” will forever be sealed as the buzz surrounding “KPop Demon Hunters” shows no signs of slowing down, and if anything, it’s climbing higher than ever.

Nearly three months since its release, the film’s original soundtrack has topped the Billboard 200 chart.

Billboard confirmed that the OST, which debuted in June and received a deluxe reissue last week, reached No. 1 on the albums chart this past Sunday.

‘Golden’

Before its climb to the summit, it had peaked at No. 2. The soundtrack’s success comes on the heels of its lead single, “Golden,” which continues its reign on the Billboard Hot 100, holding the top position for four consecutive weeks.

‘Your Idol,’ ‘Soda Pop’ and ‘How It’s Done’

Adding to the achievement, three other tracks from the animated film have also cracked the Hot 100’s top 10. Fictional boy group SAJA Boys landed back-to-back hits with “Your Idol” at No. 4 and viral TikTok hit “Soda Pop” at No. 5, while Huntrix’s high-energy anthem “How It’s Done” sits comfortably at No. 9.

With four tracks in the top tier of the Hot 100, the soundtrack has entered uncharted territory and made history as the first of its kind to achieve this milestone.

The soundtrack’s rise also saw it narrowly edge out Sabrina Carpenter’s “Man’s Best Friend” on Billboard’s weekly forecast.

Most-watched Netflix film of all time

On the streaming front, Netflix announced that “KPop Demon Hunters” has become its most-watched film of all time, surpassing the star-studded “Red Notice” with a high 236 million views since June.

In the past week alone, the film racked up 25.4 million views, ensuring its dominance on the “Most Popular English Films” list.

The film’s impact has now extended to the awards circuit. Netflix confirmed that “KPop Demon Hunters” has entered the Oscars Screening Room, giving Academy members early access ahead of the 98th Academy Awards.

While it remains to be seen whether the film will secure nominations, its mix of story, music and global appeal has placed it firmly in the awards conversation.
