For Sofronio Vasquez, his upcoming concert in Los Angeles is a homecoming, a celebration of dreams realized and a way to honor the journey that brought him from “The Voice” stage to the world.
The Filipino singer, who made history as the first Asian and Filipino artist to win the long-running talent competition, will headline “The Voice Winner: Sofronio Vasquez Live in Los Angeles” on Oct. 11 at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium.
To him, stepping onto that stage carries a weight of significance.
“Performing in Los Angeles means something special for me,” he said. “This is where my Voice journey happened, where the dream started to feel real. The Pasadena Civic Auditorium has hosted so many legendary artists over the years, and just thinking about that gives me chills.”

Vasquez describes the show as one of his most ambitious yet, not only because of its scale but because of the meaning he is pouring into it. He plans to deliver a mix of songs across eras, including favorites from his time on “The Voice.”
Sharing the stage with musical director Troy Laureta and fellow finalists Danny Joseph and Jeremy Beloate adds another layer of sentiment.
“What really gets me excited is sharing the stage with these amazing musicians. When you bring together that history, that level of talent, and genuine heart, something magical happens. That’s what I’m chasing,” he explained.
Vasquez further reflected on how music transcends barriers, saying he has witnessed audiences who don’t even speak English still connect deeply with a song, which is something he finds powerful.
Drawing from those experiences around the world, he said his goal for Pasadena is not just to perform for the crowd but to create a shared moment, “something memorable” that everyone can be part of.
Tickets to the show are available here.
