The world of “KPop Demon Hunters” isn’t done dazzling fans and sealing the Honmoon just yet.

After taking over Netflix and the global music scene, the record-breaking animated film is not only getting a sequel – it’s about to step straight into the real world at the 2025 MAMA Awards.

On Nov. 11, MNet surprised fans with a cryptic online post: “Something big’s about to drop. MAMA Awards x Netflix K-Pop Demon Hunters. This is not just another stage. This is the MOMENT.”

A teaser video then followed, setting the tone with the words, “A new chapter in the K-Pop universe begins.”

This year’s MAMA Awards is shaping up to be a visual spectacle that bridges animation and live performance. Chief producer Ma Doo-sik says the show will feature an “original stage that transcends the boundary between reality and animation.”

He shared that the iconic faceoff between the fictional groups Saja Boys and HUNTR/X will be brought to life by real K-pop idols, though their identities are still under wraps. “It’s a performance meant to unite all K-pop fans around the world,” Ma added.

The 2025 MAMA Awards will take place on Nov. 28 and 29 at Hong Kong’s newly opened Kai Tak Stadium, welcoming an expected 70,000 fans.
