Buddy action comedy, “The Wrecking Crew,” starring Filipino American actor Dave Bautista, became Prime Video’s number one film worldwide after its release on Jan. 28.
The “Guardians of the Galaxy” actor teams up with “Aquaman” star Jason Momoa in a film about two estranged half-brothers on a warpath to uncover the truth about their father’s death. The film also co-stars “Spider-Man” actor Jacob Batalon, who is also Filipino American.

On “The Today Show,“ Momoa shared how pleasant it was to work with Bautista, saying, “Dave and I got along really well. He’s got no ego, he’s just like a teddy bear. Super quiet, keeps to himself and then I’m obviously loud, obnoxious and we’re kind of opposites but [we] blend really well.”
“The Wrecking Crew” and action thriller “Trap House,“ both starring Bautista, topped Prime Video’s most watched movies at the same time.
Bautista will star in animated fantasy film “The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender,” directed by Lauren Montgomery, set for release within the year. He is also filming Amazon MGM Studios projects, “Road House 2” and “Highlander.”
“The Wrecking Crew,” directed by Ángel Manuel Soto, is available to stream on Prime Video.
