Filipino American pop superstar Olivia Rodrigo just proved that sometimes the most unforgettable performances happen offstage.
The Grammy-winning singer recently turned an ordinary gym encounter into a surprise for one of her young fans. It all began when the “Vampire” hitmaker ran into the fan’s mom during a workout session.
What could have been a quick hello turned into something far more meaningful with a personalized video message for the young girl, who was preparing to compete in an upcoming talent show.
In the short clip, Rodrigo kept things candid and sweet, saying, “Hi, Lulu, it’s Olivia. I look crazy right now. I’m with your mom and we love you so much. And I’m wishing you so much luck at the talent show. You’re gonna kill it. We love you,” she said.

The young fan went on to sing ”Vampire” at her talent show.
For most fans, a video message from their idol would be a core memory. Fans on social media called the move “classy,” “genuine” and “so Olivia-coded,” noting how the singer has consistently expressed gratitude toward the people who support her music.
Fans, though, won’t have to wait too long for her return to the music scene and the Grammys. She has been actively teasing her third studio album, colloquially referred to as “OR3,” a follow-up to her “GUTS” era.
