History was made in Manchester as Blackpink’s Rosé became the first K-pop artist ever to win at the Brit Awards.
At the 46th edition of the ceremony, Rosé clinched the International Song of the Year award for “APT.,” her genre-blending collaboration with American pop powerhouse Bruno Mars.
Taking the stage, she opened her speech with gratitude for the recognition. “It is such an honor to be receiving this award in front of so many talented and admirable musicians here in the UK, so thank you so much,” she said.

She then made sure to highlight the group that launched her global rise. “Give a shout out to BLACKPINK. Jennie, Jisoo and Lisa, I love you guys so much. Thank you for always inspiring me,” she shared.
Rosé also acknowledged her collaborator, crediting the Filipino American hitmaker for his influence on the track and beyond. “Bruno, I’m receiving this award on behalf of the both of us. Thank you so much for everything, for being my biggest mentor and best friend, love you so much,” she stated.
Following the ceremony, Rosé took the celebration online. On Instagram, she admitted that she “cannot believe APT won international song of the year at the @brits awards,” thanking the organizers for what she described as an “incredible night out.”

In her message to fans, she wrote, “Again, this one’s for you guys. THANK YOU for loving and enjoying APT and thank you for loving and supporting my album. I love you all so much. Everything one of you involved.”
The Brit Awards triumph follows another landmark chapter for Rosé. At this year’s Grammy Awards, she became the first K-pop act to secure nominations across six general field categories, including Song of the Year and Record of the Year for “APT.” She also earned recognition in the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category for the same collaboration.
