Trained rigorously since their early days at Star Hunt Academy, the members of Filipina pop group BINI have long been honed to perform without relying on backing tracks, often delivering songs in full a cappella.

That training took center stage during their Grammy Museum debut, where the group performed “Unang Kilig,” a track from their new “Signals” EP, entirely without instrumental support.

Music outlet Billboard further amplified the performance after posting a clip online, writing, “BINI perform ‘Unang Kilig’ without a backing track at the GRAMMY Museum.”

The post introduced a wider global audience to the group’s live vocal strength, with many praising the clarity and confidence in their delivery.

The group also performed their tracks “Blush” and “Cherry on Top.”

“Blush” was staged in two contrasting styles, one with full choreography and another in a pared-down arrangement. “Cherry on Top” blended choreography with live vocals.

Coachella milestone

BINI’s Grammy Museum set comes shortly after they made history as the first all-Filipina girl group to perform at Coachella. They took over the Mojave stage and brought P-pop to one of the world’s most recognized music festivals.

Their appearance has since sparked recognition back home, including a filed resolution in the Philippine House of Representatives commending the group’s global breakthrough.

As they continue to expand their reach, BINI is preparing to meet fans on a larger scale through their upcoming “Signals” world tour.

The tour will begin with two nights in Manila on June 20 and 21, followed by a Cebu stop on July 11.
