BINI rides high after Coachella with ‘Signals’ EP, world tour

“Let’s strike while the iron is hot.”

With that declaration, Jhoanna of BINI set the tone for what appears to be the group’s most defining era yet.

Fueled by momentum from their historic Coachella debut, BINI released their new EP “Signals,” turning their attention towards a world tour.

The experience in California, however, was not without pressure. BINI member Mikha recalled the emotional weight leading up to their second weekend performance.

“It was so overwhelming,” she admitted to Variety. “Before we stepped on stage for weekend 2, our boss gave us a talk and said, ‘This is where you have so much more to prove and expectations are higher.’” That reminder, she shared, pushed them to rise to the occasion.

That forward-looking mindset carries into “Signals,” which showcases BINI’s growing musical range.

Mikha explained that the group is intentionally avoiding creative limitations, noting that they don’t want to be boxed into a single genre.

Jhoanna reflected on what their Coachella stage truly represented. She said they were able to share original Filipino music with a diverse crowd, not just Filipinos in attendance.

She added that the group sees this moment as something bigger than themselves, emphasizing, “We’re stepping into this. We are making a path for other Filipino artists to be heard.”
