Rumors surrounding Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding continue to gain momentum, with new reports pointing to a possible celebration in New York City over the Fourth of July weekend.
While neither Swift nor Kelce confirmed any wedding plans, several reported developments have fueled speculation among fans.
Street closure permits filed near Madison Square Garden

One of the biggest clues came from The New York Times, which reported that a permit had been filed with New York City to close streets surrounding Madison Square Garden from July 2 until midday on July 4.
According to the publication, which cited three people familiar with the matter, the road closures are intended for an event scheduled on July 3.
In addition, the newspaper reported that several members of Kelce’s NFL team, the Kansas City Chiefs, have booked hotel rooms at the Marriott Marquis in Times Square for dates around July 3.
Reports point to a 2-day celebration
The report also claimed that the event may span two days. According to two sources cited by The New York Times, the current plan includes an intimate gathering of around 100 guests inside Madison Square Garden on July 2, followed by a much larger celebration on July 3 with about 1,000 attendees.
The second event is reportedly expected to be a “splashier celebration, with possible stage appearances.”
Another detail adding to the buzz involves Winick Productions, an event planning company. According to The New York Times, the company filed an application with New York City’s Street Activity Permit Office in early June. The application sought permission to install a tent or canopy outside Madison Square Garden for an event expected to accommodate between 500 and 999 attendees.
Although the filing does not mention Swift or Kelce by name, its timing and location have fueled widespread speculation online.
No official confirmation
Fans have also speculated that Madison Square Garden would be an ideal venue for a high-profile event because of its extensive security features, including private entrances and underground access that could help keep guests away from paparazzi.
Unconfirmed reports have also suggested that celebrity guests and even surprise musical performances could be part of the festivities. Meanwhile, separate rumors have claimed the couple may have already exchanged vows in a private ceremony before hosting a larger celebration.
Despite the growing excitement, none of the reported wedding plans have been confirmed by Swift or Kelce.

For now, the permit filings, reported hotel bookings and event planning documents remain the biggest pieces of information fueling speculation.
Until either Swift or Kelce addresses the rumors, fans will have to wait and see whether the reported Madison Square Garden event is truly a wedding celebration or something else entirely.
