LOS ANGELES – A multilingual voter guide that includes Tagalog and 11 other Asian-language versions has been released by a coalition of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) organizations to help voters understand ballot measures and voting procedures ahead of the Nov. 3 general election.
AAPI Equity Alliance, a coalition of more than 50 community-based organizations serving approximately 1.6 million Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in Los Angeles County, announced the release of the guide Thursday.
The guide is available in English and 12 Asian-language versions: simplified and traditional Chinese, Hindi, Japanese, Khmer, Korean, Nepali, Punjabi, Tagalog, Thai, Urdu and Vietnamese.
It provides information about statewide propositions, local ballot measures, voting procedures and voters’ rights, with the goal of making election information more accessible to communities that speak languages other than English.
“With threats around immigration enforcement and other election interference, we want AAPI voters to understand what’s at stake and simplify confusing terminology, in the languages they speak, to make informed decisions when they cast their vote, whether by mail or in person,” said Manjusha P. Kulkarni, executive director of AAPI Equity Alliance.
“Our goal is to provide facts and information and make voting more accessible in these urgent times,” she added.
The guide comes as AAPI voters report strong interest in participating in the midterm elections.
According to a 2026 survey by Asian & Pacific Islander American Vote and AAPI Data, 90% of registered AAPI voters said they planned to vote in the midterm elections, compared with 84% in 2022.
The multilingual voter guide is available here.
California voter registration deadlines

Eligible voters who miss the deadline can still conditionally register and vote through Election Day at designated voting locations.
County election officials were required to begin mailing vote-by-mail ballots to active registered voters by Oct. 5. Ballot drop-off locations are also available throughout California.
Voters can check their registration status at voterstatus.sos.ca.gov and find polling locations and ballot drop boxes at caearlyvoting.sos.ca.gov.
Los Angeles County voters who need assistance in languages other than English can call the Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk’s language assistance hotline at 800-815-2666, option 3.
Voters experiencing problems at polling places can also contact APIAVote’s multilingual voter assistance hotline at 888-274-8683.
